Delivery

- Time - Your fresh coffee will take 3 to 5 days to be delivered to you from the time of your order is. - We need this time as your coffee is roasted fresh just for you and our roasters all roast on different days so we just need a little time to allow for this.

- Enjoy! - Once your perfect beans have been selected and roasted - they are always shipped to you the next day, so they are as fresh as possible.

About The Coffee

Our Dear Erna range is crafted to highlight the brilliance and diversity of coffee from various growing regions worldwide. The name draws inspiration from Erna Knutsen, a profoundly influential figure in the coffee industry, credited with coining the term 'Specialty Coffee'.

This coffee embodies the qualities of exceptional Ethiopian coffee, floral and fruit-forward, clean and crisp.

This coffee was produced by smallholder producers living in the Refisa, Roricho, Bulga, and Riripa kebeles of the Nensebo woreda of Ethiopia’s West Arsi zone. 

At Mulier we take pride in working with only female producers. We are very excited to introduce Luana Aparecida da Silva from Farm Sitio Congonhal coffee to our customers. We heavily admired Luana's story and take pride in selling her coffee

Her coffee journey began in childhood, when her parents grew coffee in small quantities. At the time, it wasn’t their main source of income, but as the years passed, they refined their skills. She never imagined coffee would become her passion—she had dreams of exploring the world and studied healthcare. However, as she discovered the unique aromas and flavors of the specialty coffee her parents produced, she fell in love with the land she had once left behind.Now, she manages her own farm in Lambari, part of the Mantiqueira de Minas region, focusing on resilient coffee varieties to face climate challenges. Coffee is now her family’s primary income, and she works to improve the harvest and post-harvest processes. Living in a mountainous, high-altitude region enhances the coffee’s quality, though harvesting remains challenging. Alongside her fiancé, she continues to learn and grow. Once indifferent to coffee, she now can't live without a quality cup—especially her own. Beginning this journey fills her with deep gratitude.

Our sourcing and selection process ensures all our coffees exceed our high-quality standards. We blind cup hundreds of coffee samples a year.  Our team then selects coffees off our key selection criteria, a scoring system, and their ethical standards. Mulier is committed to ensuring the livelihood of our producers and are paid at sustainable prices and can invest into quality and longevity of their product.

To achieve quality roasting, we are meticulous with our methods. Every coffee is roasted to extenuate its unique cup profile to unlocks its best potential. We utilise roasting software (Cropster) to monitor and record temperature data and overall colour, critical for understanding the effects of the roasting process. This enables us to cross-reference the most effective approach for each coffee during quality control and achieve the desired flavour profile and consistency. 

Every bag of coffee is roasted to order so we can ensure you always receive your coffee at its freshest in your hands. 

Consistency

Consistently delivering a high-quality product is the foundation of our brand. Each stage of the coffee production cycle has systems embedded to ensure each bag of our coffee tastes the same as the last.

This includes, from the farm: picking ripe fruits, strict guidelines to follow during processing, tracking moisture content during the drying phase. Then in our roasting facilities; utilising roasting software, control measures and colour reading devices to ensure all batches are roasted identically to the same colour and roast profile.

Transparency

Behind each bag of coffee, there are producers that make it possible. We believe that transparency and collaboration between coffee roasters and producers is vital for fostering long term relationships. We make it a priority to tell the story of the coffee’s journey from farm to cup through our website and packaging. We want to bring you the stories of the origin, producers and the education and knowledge required to ensure a more ethical and delicious coffee experience.

We are always looking for ways to continuously improve our supply chain, through good communication Mulier can guarantee our partners, coffee producers and farmers are always aware of our needs. The roasting process should not be kept mysterious - hence we will consistently disclose our data and the results of our procedures.  We hope that by sharing our involvement and progress, openly discussing and acknowledging existing practices, as well as working to do right in evolving industry, we can keep things as clear and transparent as possible.
